MORGAN COUNTY, Ind. - The Morgan County Economic Development Corporation (MCEDC) will host a Job Fair on Tuesday, March 15th from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the County Fairgrounds Auditorium (1749 Hospital Drive, Martinsville, IN 46151).
The event is free for job seekers and will feature more than 20 employers with 700 full-time and part-time positions available in manufacturing, healthcare, and many other areas.
Industrial employers have general and skilled production openings, with many emphasizing a need for machine and robotics operators, engineers, technicians, and forklift operators. Healthcare employers have opportunities for nurses, caregivers, technicians, administrative support, food and hospitality service, and social workers. Job seekers can also connect with schools, utilities, and banks.
Job seekers wishing to get their names in front of employers early and access Job Fair tips have the option of registering online in advance at www.morgancountyjobfair2016.eventbrite.com. Candidates are encouraged to bring resumes with them to the event.
WorkOne will be on site to offer tips on resumes and interviews, and also offers eligibility-based funds for training and paid work experience. Job seekers can also search for Morgan County jobs at www.indianacareerconnect.com.
The Morgan County Job Fair is a new addition to MCEDC's repertoire of workforce development initiatives which include quarterly HR roundtable discussions and the Morgan County Career Expo, aimed at familiarizing area high school students with local companies.
